Milpitas, California Speed Traps
calaveras Road near able Street
just as you go over the over pass heading west toward 880 the speed limit is a lower limit over the overpass then the exsisting street, they wait at the bottom across able street. A big money maker for them…p.s. dont put a for sale sign in your car window, they will ticket you even in front of your house $35.00
Interstate 880 near Montague Expressway
CHP often hiding in the exit ramps onto 880 under the montague underpass. un/Fortunately daytime traffic seldom allows speeding. Watch out on weekends.
Great Mall Parkway near Abel Street
On great mall parkway between the neighborhood and the jail, after I-880 and right before abel, I often see one or two motorcycle cops parked up on the sidewalk. There are trees to obscure the view, so prepare to be suprised. Even when someone already is pulled over, theres usually another cop nearby so watch out.
Dixon Landing Road near Dixon/Milpitas Blvd
On Dixon landing heading towards I880 right befor the rail road tracks I often see a cop on the right side parked on the entrance of the aprtments CAREFUL!
Abel Road
The whole bridge where jacklin becomes abel and vice-versa is a trap. The speed limit is 35mph due to presence of schoolchildren in afternoons but most enforcement is at night, when traffic conditions make it REALLY easy to safely drive above 50mph on the bridge. Motorcycle cops would take speed readings just past the highest point on the bridge, catching motorists right after they speed up to climb the bridge. Expect to get pulled over at either end, with cops coming out of milpitas boulevard or redwood avenue. One more thing, turning right on redwood avenue is a carpool-only turn.
