I’ve seen cops surrepitiously hiding on my neighborhood street and waiting to sting people with a ticket. My street is a favorite for speeding, but we’re only minutes from City Hall and the local police station.

I have seen as many as 4 motorcycle cops hiding behind bushes on the side walk and then pulling people over right by the intersection at Kellogg. Don’t speed, half stop or run any lights.

CHP unmarked interceptor will merge onto the eastbound lanes of I-10 from the Fairplex onramp. Also hides in the shade of the 210 / 57 overpasses with radar on. Vehicle is hard to see in the morning hours because it is a white Camaro with a low-profile lightbar. Almost exclusively radar intercepts, some call-ahead activity seen in concert with motorcycle unit.
