New speed trap on 180 both directions between Academy and Temperance on the 180. The 2-lane, where the new construction of the highway is being done. DRIVE 55!!!
Every Residential Street in Town is 25 MPH.
There are 2 full time motorcycle cops that will write you for 2 or 3 mph over the 25 mph limit. All posted limits are strictly enforced. If you don’t have to come to Sanger stay away if you don’t want a speeding ticket.
Acadamy Avenue
Speed limit southbound on Academy Avenue entering the city of Sanger from the north is 55 MPH. The roadway is 2way-4lane undivided. As Academy Avenue enters the city of Sanger, the speed limit on this 2lane in one direction, with limited inhabitants drops to 35 MPH.. It is very difficult to maintain this slow speed through semi rural terain. The local police know that and Academy motorists become easy targets, and sources for needed revenue for the city.
