Temple City, California Speed Traps
Temple City Boulevard near La Rosa Drive
This is the intersection of Temple City Blvd and La Rosa Drive. Sheriff motor unit sits on the sidewalk at the intersection and radars cars coming northbound TC Blvd. Seen him there only a few times. Speed limit is 35 but easy to speed in that area.
Rosemead Blvd. Boulevard near RR underpass just north of Lower Azusa Crossing
There is a RR underpass where it is easy to speed up a bit. Since there are signals in either direction as you come up out of the underpass, there can be cops sitting there waiting for you. Mine said he could tell I was slowing down when I saw him. NO, I was slowing down because I was back into normal road and there was a signal ahead. They sit at the top of the road where you can’t see them. It’s not like you’re going 55 or anything, I think it’s 35 MPH and people go maybe 40-45 MPH. This is a 4 lane roadway.
Las Tunas Drive near Rosemead Boulevard
Just West of Rosemead between K-Mart and Sherrifs station. Motorcycle cop(s) hide in the K-Mart driveway or North side of Las Tunas before the wash. Speed limit is very low for this wide of a street. San Gabriel cops take over in just a few blocks going West but they are not as sneaky.
Rosemead Boulevard near Lower Azusa Avenue
Highway patrol officer is parked on a small side street. He is waiting for drivers to pick up speed when they go under the train bridge.
Las Tunas Boulevard near Baldwin Avenue
Motorcycle officer sits in a driveway of a commercial building just west of Baldwin, on the south side of Las Tunas. As traffic moves eastward on Las Tunas from the west, he uses radar to catch speeders leaving the "downtown" area of Temple City.
