Yorba Linda, California Speed Traps
Imperial Hwy b/w Yorba Linda and Orangethorpe/Esperanza (South Bound)
Be careful…just as you clear Yorba Linda Bl this stretch becomes a divided thoroughfare with a 55 MPH limit. Once you pass the Kellogg exit there will be a Brea motor waiting for you off to the side of the road in the dark just before the road goes down to two lanes.
La Palma Av
La Palma Av is hot for motorcycle officers.
Savi Ranch Parkway
Motorcycle cops hide on the right just before you get to Best Buy. They and catch people traveling into the shopping center traveling East. Speed limit is 35mph but most people travel 45mph. Tickets are issued for any speed above 44mph.
Rose Dr b/w Yorba Linda and Imperial
Motor works both sides. This section of road is somewhat hilly and this officer seems to like waiting in the valleys in between, nabbing those coasting too fast. I got locked on and saw it was a LIDAR gun; radar detector didn’t make a peep. Also observed him positioning himself at Rose and Yorba Linda to pick off those making rolling right turns.
Yorba Linda Bl, b/w Imperial and La Palma
Brea officers will hide themselves along Yorba Linda Bl (look for either motorcycles or cruisers). The signs warning of the speed trap don’t mean jack (there’s actually a sign of a motorcycle officer writing a ticket with his boot on the car’s bumper). The entire stretch of Yorba Linda Bl is fair game. They will especially seat themselves at the bottom of hills. Toward the end of the month there is an increased presence.
