Arvada, Colorado Speed Traps

In the segment between Hwy 93 and Virgil Way. Motorcycle cops located at the Church Lake Athletic Complex catch the eastbound traffic. Cops located at the West Arvada Dog park catch the westbound traffic. Speed limit drops from 45mph to 40mph in this segment.

Motorcycle cops are traveling along the south sidewalks of 72nd. Makes it easier for them to hide out and gives them easy access to the street seeing the masonry walls align both sides of the street.

Motorcycle cops sit at Carr clocking cars coming from the west. Speed limit is 45 until you get close to Carr where it changes to 35. Cops are clocking cars while the traffic hasn’t hit the 35 speed limit sign.

The school zone is located on a hill – the speed changes to 20 at certain times of day – hard to see the lights in time to lower speed. Police sit inside Episcopal church parking lot.
