Fields Avenue near Central Avenue
The School Zone on Fields Avenue between Central and the new Harrison School during 700 and 400 pm is heavily enforced by motorcycle and unmarked units from CCPD. This is on a hill that is very hard to maintain the 20 mph limit.
McCoy Avenue near Reynolds Avenue
McCoy is a one way road, that is a fantastic fishing spot for the local motorcycle FUZZ. Turning the wrong way on this street may get you a one way ticket to the county pokey.
Central Avenue near Fields Avenue
Motorcycle Officer and Gray Crown Vic (unmarked) Posted speed limit is 30. Anything over that is worth a ticket. Central is the next busiest street in Town next to Hwy 50/Royal Gorge Blvd. Keep it at the speed during the week days they are generally there until 5:00 p.m.
Central Avenue near 15th Street to Dozier Road
City motorcycle officer frequently hides behind trees and bushes in private driveways along this stretch of road which is a 30 mph speed limit on the edge of the city limits.
