Grigs Road south of MacArthur Ranch Road

Highlands Ranch, ColoradoFeb 22, 20110 Comments

Lately, I’ve been seeing people pulled over on Grigs Road headed towards the Hearth / Daniel’s Park. Two DCS vehicles – a Dodge Charger and a Dodge Magnum, both grey and unmarked – have been patrolling this neighborhood for the last year. I’ve seen four people being ticketed over the last 6 months. The normal method of nabbing speeders is hitting them with radar while driving the opposite direction. Keep it to 40-45 MPH here. Not much forgiveness from the DCS.

Quebec at E. Mountain Brush Circle–Just North of Fox Creek Elementary
Often, a difficult-to-see DCS motorcycle cop stays at the corner of a cross-street to Quebec. The officer on the motorcycle clocks speeders, then a Douglas County Sheriff’s cruiser (that was parked farther back, out of sight) will swoop in to give the speeding ticket.

The Douglas County Sherrif is out in full force on Wildacte between Braodway and MacArthur Ranch. I most commonly see an unmarked, dark gray, Dodge Charger. I have also seen marked cars and Tahoes. Look out for the trap as you go west, down the hill just after Mountain Vista High School.

Lincoln Avenue near Lone Tree Parkway

Douglas County Sheriff has an unmarked, red Chevy Impala they use to trap you. They go after you anywhere from I-25 west along Lincoln all the way through to Quebec. Often the trap area includes the Quebec/Lincoln area, usually south of Lincoln.
