Monument, Colorado Speed Traps

Heavy enforcement by Colorado highway patrol. They will stop you for little or no reason.

After adding the cop car colors and spots in my previous entry, I would like to add cop cars have been spotted on Jackson Creek Parkway, Hodgen, and Rollercoaster Road driving by or hiding in side streets.

Since Colorado Springs has become concerned that the posted limit of 75mph in some stretches of the interstate is somewhat unsafe, officers have been waiting around this truck stop to pull people over (like myself) for driving between 75-80mph to tell them that they are driving too fast, but they won’t issue a ticket which would be "worthless."

El Paso County Sheriffs Deputies hide near the entrance of the WIA across from the school. Speed limit mysteriously changes somewhere on Woodmoor Dr. from 35 to 30. usually there in AM.

Cops like to hide out at exits on off ramps and on ramps to and from Monument along Interstate 25. There’s also an occasional State Patrol trooper that likes to drop in.
