Hamden, ConnecticutOct 05, 20040 Comments

Going towards Sleeping giant when you pass Wentworth’s Ice Cream on the left beware of cops waiting in the parking lot.
Also employed are motorcycle cops who will pull you over for 5mph over the limit. They use instant on laser, detection is diffcult.

Another one for Quinnipiac Students to look out for. Coming down the hill on mount carmel approaching new road be careful as you crest the hill to campus. Standing near the commuter lot entrance can sometimes be bike cops with Laser. They’re very strict 35 in a 30 will land you with a ticket.

The limit is 30 so remember that as you come off of whitney ave toward campus. Nothing like getting a ticket 20 feet from the commuter lot entrance.

Interstate 91 near Exit Number 10

Hamden, ConnecticutApr 22, 20040 Comments

If going northbound it is right before exit 10, right after it goes from 4 lanes to 3. If going southbound it is 1/2 mile before exit 10 (keep in mind there is no 11 going southbound) There are occassionally cops in the median, and can be aimed in either direction.

S Route 15 (Merrit Parkway) N of Exit 62

Hamden, ConnecticutJun 08, 20030 Comments

Just over top of hill coming as you are heading from North Haven, trooper is pulled over, parallell to highway about 1/8 mile from top of hill, and nails you just as you start to come back down the hill. The DOT purposely paved in a wider break-down lane in that area just for the state troopers. It figures… the one time that I didn’t have my detector with me. Snag!
