Stratford, Connecticut Speed Traps
Theres a huge abandoned lot directly across from the airport on Main Street in Stratford. Many times cars pull into the lot to watch the planes fly over them and land in the runway. But cops also pull in that lot alot because its such a long, clear street that’s very easy to speed on.
On I-95 Soutbound right before Exit 32, there is a section of tall wood on the right hand side of the highway. At the end of this section of wood, there was a state police vehicle hiding at an angle so that motorists would drive by. The vehicle was there for at least three hours.
Police are always chatting with one another (two cars) or there is one car, parked in the Mill River Country Club parking lot looking for speeders from both directions of Main Street as well as top of East Main Street.
Between exit 32 and 33 on I95 northbound. Usually 1-2 CT State Troopers waiting on the side of the road.
3pm-8pm approximately, Police park in the driveway of the pump station and shoot laser at eastbound traffic. Or park at Beth Drive and shoot radar at eastbound traffic. Speed limit is 25 MPH, please obey speed limit.
