Vernon, Connecticut Speed Traps

On a given morning, it’s not uncommon to see 1 to 3 cruisers sitting just past Exit 67 when heading Westbound on I-84. I have seen Crown Vic’s, Camaros, Impalas, and Intrepids in use at this location. They are out in the open on the right should adjacent to a giant 65-MPH speed limit sign. They are very quick with the laser, my detector usually goes off before I can even see them ast hey hit you just as one is cresting the hill.

They are also found on the Eastbound side just past Exit 66 just as frequently.

When your going on Rt. 83 and you come to the intersection of Kelly Road and Rt 30. If you take the turn to Kelly road, the South Windsor cop’s like the sit at the intersection’s of those roads. Hoping probably to catch the drunks/careless people leaving denny’s or teen’s leaving work at night. They pull you over for not stopping at the line at a stop sign and are very hard to see. Posted speed is 35, but can do around 50 safely at night.

Cops sit in a truck pull off on the right side of the road accross from a sign shop called signs of all kinds. The posted speed is 35mph (right before the pull off) but its easy to do 50mph without a thought. Enforcement is constant every other night or so between 4:30pm and 8:00pm. They often use decoys and have 1 car parked in the truck pull off and a 2nd car 100ft down the road to nab you when you speed back up. 10mph over the speed limit doenst seem to bother them (they havent pulled me over yet) but anything more they grab ya.
