Woodbridge, Connecticut Speed Traps
The speed limit is 40mph on Rt313 Rimmon Road but the traffic ordinarily moves 45-50mph. the patrol cars love to hang out in front of Bnai Jacob Synagogue and get people going 50+mph.
Police cars sit at various spots along Peck Hill Road. In parking area in front of the pond on the left side as you head towards Rte 313. Also near the Elderslie preserve. Usually during rush hour to catch people using the cut through from the Valley to New Haven.
High frequency of radar traps all along Rt 63 from the Bethany town line south to the New Haven town line. All times of day and night.
Varying placement, almost always 2 or 3 cruisers, along the entire span of Rt 69 through Woodbridge.
Route 69 from the Woodbridge/Bethany town line southerly to Clark Rd. has a radar unit somewhere, particularly at the bottom of the long hill at Dillon Rd, at least half of day and night hours. Maintaining the speed limit is difficult southbound because of the long downgrade but the strain on the brake linings is worth avoiding tickets as the police will ticket as opposed to warning. Northbound, just north of Dillon Rd. where the truck climbing lane starts is another popular location.
