Middletown, Delaware Speed Traps
Old Summit Bridge Rd & E Union Dr
Big Speed trap and also watching people running stop signs. They are all ways here. Day and night doesn’t matter what time or day. They will sit near the C&D canal. They run KA radar band or sometimes lazer but very rarely will they run lazer.
US Highway 1 near US Highway 13
This is the speedtrap that is located just over the new St. Georges bridge, coming North or South, at the bottom of the hill. It is a bit hard to see, but most people who live in this area generally know about this trap. It has become less and less effective in nabbing locals, but out of state drivers beware, it’s on a long stretch of straight highway and very difficult to see!

County Trunk Churchtown Road near Middletown Fire Substation
State troopers have been parking in the new Middletown Fire Company substation and running radar on Churchtown Road near the bend by the Summit Aviation runway approach.
Cleaver Farm Road near 299 Crossing
This is a small street where you come up on a transition from a 35 mph to 25 mph limit. The police officer actually jumps out of a bush with a radar gun! This is after a gentle curve, so it is real difficult to see the cop pointing his gun at you until you’re pretty much right on them. They also patrol the road at various hiding points, in their car, but this "jumping out of the bush" method apparently is working quite well for them since I’ve seen a lot of people ticketed there.
