DSP and County Police sit on the left side of Faulkland Road when you approach Centerville Road(coming down a nice hill). They are obvious but as you top the hill you’re caught. Posted speed limit is 30 MPH.

Pennsylvania Avenue near Street Street

Wilmington, DelawareSep 25, 20080 Comments

Police car sits in parking lot of Baxters (Union Street and Pennsylvania Avenue). If you are coming from the north e.g., Greenville), the speed changes suddenly from 35 mph to 25 mph and they are there waiting for you.

Baynard Road near Marsh Road

Wilmington, DelawareJul 07, 20080 Comments

The speed limit sign after turning onto Baynard from Marsh Road is buried behind overgrown trees. Police wait for speeders even 5 over on this hilly road. I think the speed limit is 30, but it’s nearly impossible to go that slow. Cops Wait Outside Of The Car with a radar.

State Highway Kirkwood near St. James Church Road

Wilmington, DelawareNov 05, 20070 Comments

When you are driving East from Newark towards Limestone Road or Prices Corner, the State Police place their unmarked blue Dodge Charger 2 car widths off the road, behind the trees after WoodMill and prior to Dunkin’ Donuts. The speed limit is 45 but considering you’re looking at a long, straight downgrade gradually rising to a large intersection, average speeds are about 60. And the cops always catch people there! If and when you see people 1/2 mile ahead of you hitting their brakes for no reason – there’s a reason.

(Rt. 2 Kirkwood Hwy.)
