Belleview, Florida Speed Traps

Belleview Police will sit in Mike’s Car Wash and watch for speeders and red-light runners from any of the four intersections. Speed limits drops to 35 and someone always gets nailed running the lights.

Belleview cop sits behind the Lions Club building watching traffic flow in and around Lake Lillian, sits there most mornings during the week.

Marion County Sheriffs will man this trap approx once or twice a month with motorcycle officers and patrol cars. They do a land-office business.

When coming into Belleview Florida from the south, on Highway 441/27 one crosses over a bridge that markes the city limits, as you come over the bridge the police will be in the median of the highway between the north and south bound lanes. There is a stop light about 300 yards from the top of the bridge. The police can not be seen until you are over the bridge. The light is where 301 joins 441 and 27.
OK just before the light watching up to the bridge, and the light its self there are ususally 2 more police cars ( sometimes one) tracking the radar as one comes over the bridge, the Police officer on the bridge median meen while is tracking cars coming up the bridge, but also will go after anyone with a tail light out coming to the stop sign.
They will pull you over.
Side note: if you wish to go north and wish to bypass the bridge, there is a light on the south side of the brideg as well. however be warned. The side rode is generally stalked as well.
