Eustis, Florida Speed Traps
As you are leaving Eustis, going North on Hwy 19 the local police have a regular speed trap. It is very difficult to see if you are going North, however, going into Eustis you can spot their cars under trees on the leFort I have called to warn my husband many times when I know he will be passing through that they are out and hunting.
Going North on SR19 as you leave Eustis and approach SR44 a Black and White will most always be hiding on the East side of roadway between trees and curve. Posted 45MPH is without question unreasonable.
30 mph between 452 and 19 (1/2 mile) coming from 45 mph either way. Police sit in fairground below road level and target one car out of line of cars.
As you pass the school road on SR44 going towards Deland (east), the police sit in the driveway of the house @ the top of the hill. They gun in both directions because coming west, it’s a blind curve and coming east you can see them but not before they gun you.
At SR44 and 44A in Eustis, police sit in the grassy median or just off the road out of sight of people coming around the corner. They get about 5 people a day because it is a blind curve.
