State Route 15158 near Interstate 595
The SR7/441 and 595 interchange has multiple overpasses. This is also a location where the Florida Turnpike intersects with the said locations. Underneath the overpass are usually one Florida Highway Patrol And a Broward Sheriff’s Deputy with detectors. The speed limit is 50 MPH but they will not hesitate to ticket you if you are 5 miles above the limit. The 50 MPH zone stretches for less than 2 miles hence people get ticketed a lot. Drive carefully and be aware.
US Highway 1
When driving to the Mai Kai restaurant one US1, we passed the entrance on the right as the sign was hard to see. We drove to next light to make a U turn. We were 5th vehicle in our lane. When we made the U turn, cop pulled us over as no U turn allowed there. It was dark. Could not see the sign on other side of US1 due to tree leaves. The next day we drove over there and saw that sign which would have been on drivers side had been “knocked down”” about six times. Some one told us the cop sits across at the bank and waits for his victims to make the turn. Several months later we drove by there and saw that all evidence of previous broken signs had been eliminated and new sign was there.! It is very difficult to turn into the Mai Kai even if there is not much traffic and in daylight. Perfect place for tickets.”
