Hollywood, Florida Speed Traps

motorcycle cops on side of road by St. Mark’s school and church – usually around the school speed zone in the middle of the day. This is a two lane small residential avenue with little speeding going on – so tickets would be for going 35 mph.

A couple days a week,three to four motorcycle radar units alternate between the east & west bound sides of the road between 50th & 52nd Aves.
The road is 3 lane, each direction, with a limit of 35 mph which they strictly enforce.
They are not visible until you are almost passing them.

Taft Street (just West of SR 7 also known as Route 441). Motorcycle officers (usually working alone) are regularly posted just past the cemetary and hide under the overpass. In the morning when traffic is heading West, they cannot be seen due to sunglare and regularly stop neighbors for doing 7-10 miles over the posted 35 mph. Beware!

On A1A Northbound side just south of Hollywood Blvd, Police car hides and pulls cars over. Speed limit is
35 but don’t exceed 40.

Trap is 1 block north of Hollywood Blvd on 56th Ave. South bound lanes of 56th. Cops are using Radar and have motorcycles. Usually posted out in front of church and on grass. I go to work everyday and I got ticket one time(2006) and all the time after, i see them pulling people over. Speed limit i think is 25. Now it is practically 2008 and they are still there.
