Interstate 95 near Exit Donald Ross Road

Jupiter, FloridaJun 02, 20050 Comments

While driving South on I-95 close to Exit Donald Ross Road you will notice a white line in the far left lane (it’s half way up the bridge that goes over Donald Ross Road). There is a traffic camera aimed at the road right on top of the bridge. About a 1/4 to 1/2 mile down the road there will be another white line. Somehow the cops can time your distance between the white lines and thus calculate your speed, and often there will be 5 to 8 cop cars waiting under the next overpass. I don’t think there’s a plane involved. I have driven there doing 80 (70 mph limit) and wasn’t stopped. Either all cars were busy writing tickets, or they only get the real bad ones

Interstate 95 near Mile Marker 79

Jupiter, FloridaJun 10, 20040 Comments

I live about 1 mile West of I-95 in this area. I see and hear a light aircraft circling in this area almost daily, mid morning to early afternoon. FHP enforces with 6-10 units on the ground. Turn-around point is Hood Road overpass. There are several white stripes on the highway for timing purposes between Donald Ross Rd and PGA Blvd. Legal speed limit is 70 MPH in this area, slowing to 55 Southbound.

I-95 South bound, After passing exit 83 ( Donnald Ross Blvd )

Jupiter, FloridaSep 05, 20030 Comments

Troopers park under the bridge following exit 83, on the left side of I-95 driving southbound. There are usually around 7 to 8 cruisers and happens most of the weekends around 9-10 AM. A few times the have done this in the afternoons. Slow Down after the hill proceeding Exit-83 and stay on the right lane if possible.
