Lake Mary, Florida Speed Traps

Speed drops from 45 mph on Rinehart to 25 mph immediately after turning onto Timacuan Blvd. Must reduce speed very quickly! Police usually hide in bush with speed gun. High end vehicles and Golf Players going to Timacuan Golf Course are especially targeted. More than 50 golfers were given tickets on one day, even for the low speed. (27mph) Police very aggressive and abusive. Tickets very expensive.

Police park on Cardinal Oaks waiting for Seminole State students in a hurry to get to school.They usually park way down the street on Cardinal Oaks so that you can;’t see them til you are past the intersection. They are there in the morning and for evening classes .

Right where Old Lake Mary Rd becomes Crystal Lake Ave. the speed limit drops from 45 mph to 25 mph and the gestopo hide behind the fenced lot so often that there is a bare spot worn into the grass right across from the intersection with Palmetto Rd. They do not seem to care if you stop at the Stop Sign nor wait at the Stop sign stopped on the railroad tracks on Palmetto, but go a few miles over the speed limit and they are “johnny on the spot”” to help fill the coffers of poor ol’ Lake Mary.”

Rhinehart Rd, between Lake Mary Boulevard and H.E. Thomas Hwy. motorcycle cops behind Lake Mary Sign at corner of Rhinehart and Lake Mary Blvd. They also will sit in driveway exit/entrance to Trailer Park. Will watch you turn right from Lake mary Blvd onto Rhinehart, they have put a new no right turn signal up. They are closely monitoring this turn signal. Tickets also being given for passing a officer who has pulled over a vehicle. Must be
in the lane farthest away or you will be ticketed. Avoid this area if possible.
