Lakeland, Florida Speed Traps

Skyview Drive between Reynolds and Combee Roads. Speed limit is 30 MPH and is strictly enforced. They also look for burned out tag lights and brake lights. The police cars hang out at the churches parking lot. There is a church on each end. Also have seen them and the convenience store in the middle of Skyvue Drive.

Twice I have been stopped on E. Edgewood – particularly, when it was under construction. The police are parked on the side streets and stand near the corner in shadows with a radar gun then wave you to turn onto the side street. I have seen 4 blocks being done at a time.

The cops always sit right infront of the the new YMCA so you cant see them if you are traveling up the hill!

During morning traffic, police wait in shadows under Polk Parway overpass and monitor Northbound traffic. In afternoon, they station themselves several blocks North in gas station parking lot and monitor Southbound traffic.
