Melbourne Beach, Florida Speed Traps
Cops on Oak Street near Gemini school
Cops hide on Oak street just beyond the road curve near Gemini Elementary School. They do this in the daytime. Also they hide mixed in with parked cars in the parking lots of the condos on SR A-1-A just south of Ocean Avenue, where you can’t distinguish them from the parked cars. They especially do this at night where you can’t see them at all.
Oak Street near Flutie Park
As a retired police officer with over 34 years of service in another state, I’ve got to say this speed trap is an embarrassment to the Town of Melbourne Beach. Radar enforcement here is relentless. Come on guys, spend more time interacting with your community. Walk your business district, beach, pier, neighborhoods etc. Meet the people in the area. It will be fun and they will love it.

Melbourne Beach police hiding places: 1)Ballpark fence, especiall at night, 2)South entrance into Gemini Elementary, behind bushes,3) in with the other cars during sports events, 4)flashing light during morning, school time. This is truly a hide behind the billboard, embarrasment to Melbourne Beach. Community service / safety is Not the driving force here. It’s $$$$ ! I’ve lived here for 20 yrs. Mel Bch is still the best place in Brevard to live.
