State Highway 836 near Near 107th at the Toll Plaza

Miami, FloridaFeb 15, 20080 Comments

Troopers will sit right after the toll plaza if you’re heading east or behind the small patch of trees if you’re heading west (before the toll going W), and will basically clock you if you’re in the leftmost lane and wave you down as soon as they catch you. Happens a few times a month so I always jump to the center or right lanes before crossing the toll. (State Hwy. 836 – Dolphin)

SW 3rd Avenue near SW 16th Avenue

Miami, FloridaJan 04, 20080 Comments

This trap is off the little street off of US1 & SW 16th Ave, where the road curves. It is almost Always active, but tends to be notorious during AM rush hour. Watch out, as they stay well hidden here. Speed Limit dips quickly from 30mph to 20mph, so they can easily catch you for any little infraction. Patrolled usually by City of Miami, but it isn’t rare to see Metro-Dade & even Miami Beach & Hialeah cops here too!
