Rapidly changing speeds to intentionally catch drivers. Recently caught driving 31 mph, being passed by everyone, included a Wal-Mart truck! Of course I did have those pesky New York plates. Oh, the fine was $308.50

traveling on a saturday morning. speed limit is 35. reduced speed to 28 knowing it was a speed trap. given a ticket for 13 mph over the school zone limit. There was no school on saturdays. Police said it didn’t matter, it could have been. Fine over $200.00. By the looks of this town, they needed it.

This is a horrible speed trap. They take you from 60mph down to 35 or 40mph and if you’re not really paying attention to your speed, they will pull you over. There’s no legitimate reason for this much slowdown other than a revenue generating speed trap. Be really careful if you have out of state plates. They much prefer to pull over non Floridians.

Southbound Hwy. 301 approaching Starke where speed limit rapidly changes from 65 mph to 45 and 35. Speed limit signs are minimal and difficult to see, especially if you are behind or along side of a large vehicle. Officer is posted where speed limit quickly changes to 35 MPH and radios ahead to the ticketing officer at the first red light.
