Tarpon Springs, Florida Speed Traps
From U S 19 at Tarpon Springs all the way to East Lake Road
It is a construction zone. The road twists and turns. The sign says 25 mph but the 2 is so small you can hardly see it. Before I could even pull off from getting the ticket, two cops had already haul ass back to the orginal spot and got two more. The cops were speeding….what about them!!!!!!
Keystone Road going West towards Tarpon Springs
This is a state trooper speed trap. He has been there literally a month, and people get pulled over every day. There is construction, so the speed limit was lowered to 35 from 45, but the signs were just modified, nothing new showing a new speedlimit…makes it really easy for them to nab you.
He usually sits at the lower end of the hill with the church, going towards East Lake. There is a small deli shop, he sits about 50 yards west of it.
US 19 south between Becket Way and Tarpon Ave
Heading south on 19 towards Tarpon Ave right before the overpass there is an almost hidden entrance to some type of new development on the water. Tarpon Police radar from that entrance constantly, anything over 60 usually ends up being pulled over. Just slowing down when approaching Tarpon from any direction is usually your best bet.
US Highway 19 North near Klosterman Road
Do Not Speed on U.S. 19 through Tarpon Springs once you get north of Klosterman Road heading north or from Tarpon Springs Ave heading south through Klosterman. Traps sit in entrance to Anderson Park on East side of road and all along both sides of U.S. 19 tucked in parking areas. Particularly weekend evenings they sit in the Office Complex on the East Side of 19 just past Anderson park. I believe the speed limit drops to 45 mph in sections on a 6 lane divided highway – Safest bet just don’t speed on this stretch!

US Highway 19 near Tarpon Avenue
As you are going north on 19 coming up on Tarpon Ave, on the right in a parking lot are two cop cars radaring and more cop cars a little down the road. Looks like cops in first lot radar then cops in second lot pull you over. They do it all the time.
