Ashburn, GeorgiaOct 29, 20111 Comments

Black Vic, all lights off Friday 11:30pm Midnight hour. Completely stealth, including dark tinted windows. Parked at right-hand curb, just a few feet before guardrail begins for interstate curve to left. Parked at 45 degree angle to interstate. Night time virtually invisible unless high beams are on. Radar pointed through the driver side window could easily reach half a mile.

Southbound I-75, Sycamore + 3 miles south, Davis

Ashburn, GeorgiaOct 22, 20110 Comments

Black car under bridge, parked perpendicular to interstate, driver side window rolled down and facing southbound drivers. Radar or even Laser. From Jefferson Davis Hwy, Exit 78 , count 1 mile south. The bridge is for the Robert Davis Rd / County Rd 35, and the southbound feeder allows alternative access to bridge abutment. When passed the spot, the next exit says Inaha Rd.

Anywhere on I-75 through is heavily patrolled by the sheriff’s department. They will pull you over for going anywhere near 80 and claim you were going 85 so they actually write a ticket based on the current Georgia speed trap laws. Slow down and watch out for these guys. I got pulled over for going 85 when i clearly had my cruise control set on 80, granted speeding but still wrong nonetheless. When you ask to see their radar gun certification they will refuse, claiming they are not allowed let you near their cars.

Ashburn exit 82

Heavy construction, no workers, had two slow truckers blocking us. Doing 40 in a 60 zone. They left, I got caught doing 90 in a 70 zone. My ticket cost me
$593.00 and four points. Definately a trap. Cop hangs out at bottom of underpass. But, $593 is a little steep. What are we doing, supporting unemployed Ashburnians? I know I own a little piece of Ashburn. Be careful there!!!.

Hwy. 41 South in Sycamore

Sycamore Police sit across from gas stations at night under trees running radar. Very hard to see until you are right on top of them. They also sit in one of the gas station parking lots and you can’t see them until you come around some buildings right in front of them. Speed limit is 35 mph.
