Emerson Police position their cars where there is very little time to see them and slow down. Traffic always light since I75 runs parallel. They also pull over women at night for no reason – total harassment. I think revenue per resident exceeds Pendergrass, GA.

One exit town needs revenue—-you are it— tickets are out of site

Highly visible on I-75, mostly at night.Also on US-41 and connecting roads including hwy 293. Local police chief boast of high volume of traffic tickets. As well he should,going from less than 100 to an excess of 400 since Robo-Cop( as referred to by his colleagues) Not a term of endearment!!

The speed limit is 55 but don’t go over 50. They will stop you and if you weren’t speeding, they will site you for, fleeing or improper lane change, or anything to write a ticket. They are well known in the county. Emerson is a very small town with 2-3 police cars. The Police Dept. closes on the weekend and Bartow County takes their calls. The spped traps go on, even on the weekend.
