Fayetteville, Georgia Speed Traps
Glynn St S & Stonewall Ave W
Police sit here waiting for cars turning left onto Hwy 85 (N. Glynn St) on hwy 54 coming from Peach Tree City / Newnan. Motorists dont know that they will be caught in middle of intersection due to light holding them up (further down road @ square) causing you to be stuck in middle netting you a big fat ticket. As if it isnt embarassing enough the cops have to pour salt on the wound. Thanks alot
Inman Road near S. Jeff Davis Road
Unpaved drive into pasture on west side of road at bottom of hill
State Highway 85 near Dixieland Theme park
As one heads north out of Fayetteville, there is a short dearth of traffic lights, and thus most commuters increase their speed to account for this. Fayetteville City police sit just before you leave the city limits so that they can clock speeders and get the city revenues.
Hampton Road near State Highway 92
While heading west on Hampton Rd. and you are approaching Hwy 92, a lone police car usually sits on the right shoulder of the road tagging people just as the speed limit reduces.
LaFayette Avenue near Tiger Trail
Police sit at the bottom of the hill. There is a 25mph sign posted so close to the turn onto LaFayette that it’s behind you before you have completed the turn. I’ve seen up to 3 officers with people pulled over at the same time.
