A deputy or even GSP likes to sit in a worn out spot just before Harvest Temple Church on 19-41 South.

While traveling south from the Walmart area on Hwy 19 /41 the two small 45 MPH speed limit signs (one on each side of the southbound lanes) is between the 2 traffic lights. If you come out of the Walmart parking at the traffic light, or farther south at Fire Mountain restaurant, you never see a speed limit sign. The Griffin police use radar slightly over 500 feet from the speed limit sign that is 55 MPH just before the Ellis Road overpass. Speed Trap law states they must be at least 500 ft from a change. My ticket is notated 516 Fort It is possible to turn right from Walmart and many restaurants and also left at the traffic light from the shopping center on the other side of the road from Walmart and never see a 45 MPH sign.

First time I had been on this strip of expressway. I was going the speed limit (55) after entering off the exist ramp after Lowe’s. I saw sign that right lane would be ending shortly. So I speeded up after checking my rear view mirror to see if it was clear. Then I saw the cop with the camera and then I saw the 45 mph speed sign. I saw he had me in his view so I didn’t try to abrupty depress on my brakes. How much lead way does a person having between speeding signs to stop?

GSP and County deputies routinely "lie in wait" along this stretch of the highway, pulling over 3-7 cars at once. By the time you see them, they’ve already clocked you. It’s very easy to flow with traffic and be well above the posted speed limit of 55mph.
