Nice Wide four lane hwy. but speed limit is 35mph . Officer will either be in turning lane facing North or in behind storage buildings depending on which way he is trying to trap.

GA4 RIGHT BY FREDS

Wrens, GeorgiaJun 06, 20140 Comments

WRENS IS DEFINITELY A SPEED TRAP BECAUSE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 45 ON GA4 RIGHT BY FREDS AND TURNS INTO 35 INSTANTLY. WRENS IS JUST TRYING TO MAKE EXTRA MONEY OFF OF TAXPAYERS AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO PUT A STOP TO IT.

US 1through the whole town

I grew up in Louisville and visit 3 to 5 times a years. I have kin up in Harlem that I go see while I’m there. I try yo avoid Wrens on these trips.
I’ve got stopped several time on Highway 1 mostly because of my Arkansas tag. They usually claim I’m 10 over even though I’m at least 5 below the limit. The funny thing is none of the tickets show up on my driving record. I told one of them one time I grew up in Louisville and he upped the ticket from 10 over to 15 over. I should’ve known better.

Highway #1near Wrens Middle School

When passing Wrens Middle School, you think you can pick up speed; but note you’re still in 35mph until reaching 55mph. That’s when police get you with radar as you come out of the curve, they’re sitting there waiting with radar gun aimed at the curve. If someone is in front of you, you still get it. Only got 2 speeding tixs in my life, they were both at that spot.

on HWY 1 outside of Wrens going to Augusta

Once you leave the City of Wrens the speed goes from 45mph to 55mph for about 3 miles, then it turns into 65mph like it should be anyway. This is a 2-lane with a median there is no school zone nor are you in a city limit. The 55mph zone is in deed a speed trap by design.
