Hwy 95 leaving Plummer on the south side.
You are out of town in the country on the highway and they (sheriff deputy) will pull you over for exceeding the 40 mph as you approach the 60 mph sign. Maybe they are waiting there for traffic headed north approaching town. I guess when business is slow they catch you trying to leave town going south.

South of Plummer on US Highway 95
About a mile south of Plummer the speed limit drops from 60 to 40 mph. About a 1/4 mile later, the speed limit drops to 25 mph and remains at that speed as you drive past a mill and travel through town. The speed limit used to drop to 45 outside of town and didn’t drop to 25 until you were actually in town.

US Highway 95 near Coeur d’Alene Trailhead Trail
The speed limit drops from 60 to 45 MPH there and the CDA Tribal Police sit off the highway to the west.
