Barrington, Illinois Speed Traps
Ela Road near Baldwin Road
An officer will park off the road by Maggie Rogers Park, or will park on Florence Street to catch speeders going in either direction. It doesn’t seem to matter what time of day or night it is, but officers are there on a regular basis.
Bartlett Road near Penny Road
Cops will wait back in the entrance to the Hidden Lakes subdivision and watch for speeders. This subdivision is north of Penny Rd and south of 59. Also be aware that S Barrington cops use moving radar on Bartlett Road and can catch you while they are driving even if you are traveling in the opposite direction.
State Route 68 near Prairie School
Barrington Police sit across from the Prairie school in a abandoned drive hidden by overgrown brush, or east of the school in the forest preserve entrance. It’s very hard to keep your speed to 45 on this two lane road. Watch out between Barrington and Ela Roads!
E. Hillside Road near Thunderbird Estates entrance
I used to live on Hillside. They mostly sit at the entrance to Hillside Farms entrance. Its an easy road to speed on just watch out over the hills
Brinker Road near Otis Road
Brinker Rd is like rollercoaster ride, goes up and with steep downs – it is hard to notice when going over 40 m/h speed limit due to surrounding trees, landscape and road layout. Cops are waiting at the bottom of the steepest hill, half mile before STOP sign at Otis Rd. intersection.
