Grand Boulevard near 31 Street

Brookfield, IllinoisNov 21, 20071 Comments

On grand from 31st to the circle. Because Grand is a diagonal street LaGrange Park and Brookfield cops can park on side streets and motorists can’t see them until it is too late. Sometimes they park on Grand itself behind another parked car. The speed limit seems to be artificially low, which makes it an easy place for cops to generate revenue.

As you turn off 1st Avenue onto 31st street while passing the Brookfield Zoo. Between the Zoo and the British Home there are 2-3 small driveways on the North side of the street. There is almost always a police car with his lights completely off with radar on. This is a stretch of road that is dark and surrounded by forest preserves on one side and Zoo on the other. The Speed limit is 30mph.

East Avenue near Ogden Avenue

Between ogden avenue and 47th st, cops like to sit in the burke parking lot or the village of public works’ parking lot..i’ve gone past them going 5 over the limit, so they’re not too harsh, but i still wouldn’t risk it! they’re usually there anywhere from 10 pm to 2 am.
