Brookfield police post in the Forest Preserve parking lot down the street from the zoo entrance. The limit drops from 35 to 30, making it easier for the village to supplement local ticket revenue. Police stake out all along 47th St in Business parking lots and side street on the North Side of 47th St Only. South side of 47th is heavily staked out by McCook Police giving tickets daily. These 2 police departments love to share the "wealth"!
They will even pull you over for "no seat belt" on a slow day or weekend morning!

Anytime during the day, there is a car or SUV parked along Prairie Ave, between Shields & Ogden Avenues, ready to grab anyone whom they feel jumped stop sign or speeding down the street even 1 mile over the posted limit.

Between Maple and East Avenues a cop car sits on the south side of the street. This area has numerous businesses that send out radar signatures, so if you have a detector, it is easy to get confused.
