79th street between County Line Road and Madison Avenue is 30 mph. This road has become very busy due to the opening of the UPS facility in Hodgkins. Because of this the Village raised the speed limit from 25 mph to 30 mph. Lucky us. Cops sit hidden in the parking lot of the St Mark Coptic Orthodox Church on 79th Street. They also sit parked, hidden back on either Drew Ave, S. Garfield Ave. or Lake Ridge Club Drive, on the south side of 79th.

They hide in a private small business parking lot on near the Northwest corner of 83rd and Madison. They usually are monitoring traffic South bound on Madison, utilizing ‘instant on" radar. It’s an ‘open road" but the limit is 30 MPH, so be careful.

They like to hide in a church parking lot on the north west side of the intersection. They are usually there brfore rush hour and all points of the night. They like to hide there becasue many young people like to race there during the night.
