Patrolling in front of Liberty Elementary – and down Miller Road to Sleepy Hollow Road

Cops sit either in the parking lot in the mini mall on the corner of Huntley and Tartans or on the street to the entrance of the subdivision across the street. They are usually there in the morning — the speed limit is 35.

This trap works in either direction you may be headed on Miller Road. The Police park in the parking lot of Liberty Grade School behind the hedges in the school lot close to the street. They have a clear view of all vehicles pulling onto Miller from Huntley and if you are coming west bound towards Huntley from Sleepy Hollow you will pull past them as they would be obstructed by the hedge. Either way, it is is tough to see them until you are on top of them and by then it is to late.

Stop sign at school crossing, always stop fully as the patrol car parks at different points in the two school yards. Speed limits and driving atttitude ( school children ) are watched closely day and night.

The car would be sitting on one of those little plazas, at either corner so neither the northbound nor the southbound traffic is safe. This spot is enforced only late in the evening hours ( usually 1-2 hours after dark ) well until 11 pm often or later. No way to anticipate the car’s presence until it is too late. Posted limit is either 30 or 35.
