There will be cops standing at the corner shooting radar and then radio down to the cops waiting at the bottom(north) of Franklin street

Decatur Police sit on east side of Franklin running radar of vehicles cresting over hill. Most Decatur officers will allow up to 10 over, and many don’t like citing citizens going to work.
William B. Sands (Staley) Viaduct
Officer stands on north end of viaduct on sidewald with handheld laser tracking northbound traffic only. Very spontaneous, but when they are there, they are strict with the 35 m.p.h. limit. Generally only during the week, in the mornings.
Corner of Oakland Ave. and Division St. (right before Grand Ave.)
It isnt every day, maybe a couple times a month but a cop stands in the trees in the corner of Graceland Cemetary and clocks people… then there is a line of squad cars the next block up waiting to pull people over. It’s usually between 7:30-8:15 to get MacArthur High School students on their way to school.
Mound Road at Our Lady Of Lourdes Church
Decatur Police sit in marked car next to Lourdes Church and monitor speed on Mound Rd. This officer can also be found parked in Mound Middle School parking lot as well. Usually will ignore 5mph over, but watch out anyway.
