As soon as you pass Harlem Avenue going west on Grand Avenue, there are always cops on both sides of the street, but are usually hidden behind buildings or parked on the lots of the various car dealerships on that street. This usually stops at Thatcher Avenue, but there’s always squad cars along that stretch.

Between 8000 west and 7600 west Police car hides in old gas station and on side street. 8000 west Belmont to 7200 west Belmont is a gradual grade up which causes you to excelerate to maintain speed making very easy to exceed the 35 MPH limit. Elmwood Park police are known for not clearing radar gun from previous stops and will think nothing of giving radom tickets using old radar gun readings from previous stops. I received a ticket for 47 MPH in a 35 MPH zone while standing in bumper to bumper traffic from 7900 west to point of stop at 7600 west. Left 8000 west stop light at 0MPH moved approximately 1 block and then in bumper to bumper traffic that was stop and go. Cop was rude and when asked to see radar gun had to fish it out from under the passenger seat. No date or time is visible on radar gun used and when asked to see date and time cop got very angry and reacted with level of of aggression far exceeding what would be considered normal for the average person. Cop was very, very, angry I had asked to see date and time on radar gun and when I pointed out the bumper to bumper traffic going back 3 blocks behind him he said so what. I have a van that is incapable of 47 MPH in less than 200 feet.
