Glen Ellyn, Illinois Speed Traps
Park Blvd. from Roosevelt to Fawell
First .3 mile has 6 signs with different speed limits. 30,30,30, 35…then wham, 20 right at the stop light. Next .5 mile is 20, 20, 35…then again, wham, 20 because a second school appears. Police sit at Village Links entrance. Fine is huge. I just paid $350 in court today–school zone which is fine plus fee for school plus court cost. First offense! I was going 40 mph
Bryant Ave.
Make sure you come to a full stop at Bryant and Highview. They are usually sitting down Highview watching. Also, they sit on Bryant right before Rt. 53. I assume they’re looking for illegal left turns onto Rt. 53 from Bryant. Not sure how effective it is, you have to pass the cop right before you get to the intersection.
Lambert Road by Baseball Diamonds
On the East side of Lambert, about a half mile south of Roosevelt, there is an access driveway to the golf course. The cop sits either here or at the entrance to the baseball diamonds and guns people coming around the corners. Speed limit is 35, but its easy to catch yourself doing 10 over.
Rte. 53 Headed North Towards Flowerfield
Marked squad hiding behind brush on South side of street. Generally catches people coming from GE towards Lombard as they can’t see him as they make the descent down the hill. Usually during rush hour traffic (imagine that!).
Roosevelt Road
All of Rooselvelt Rd from 355 to Lambert Road, 11 pm and later on weekends I always see plenty pulled over, limit is only 35. They take advantage of the fact a lot of the doors on the doors set off Kband on detectors,
