Hinsdale, Illinois Speed Traps

They hide on the right shoulder on the northbound side of Rt. 83, north of 55th St. Rt. 83, at this point, is a limited access, 4-lane highway. Hinsdale is a rich Chicago suburb, that has no direct interest in enforcement on Rt. 83, since the right-of-way is fenced and there are no property owners with access to the highway. Some years ago, Hinsdale fought the widening of Rt. 83 to help minimize access to their village by the riff-raff. The lost, so now they intend to get even.
