Long Grove, Illinois Speed Traps
Speed limit is 25mph. Very hard to stay so slow. Police will pull you over for very little over that speed limit.
Indian Creek Rd. between Diamond Lake Rd. and Gilmer Rd. This is a cut through type road and the police love to sit on this road and bust people. This not really a speed trap type road, rather it is a road that people tend to go too fast and the police know it. Your coming off either Diamond Lake or Gilmer and you just were doing about 45 on a silmilr type road and the limit gets reduced to 30 due to the visability and the narrowness of the road.
South on Old McHenry Road from State Route 22 to downtown Long Grove, about a one-mile stretch.
They watch North Krueger Road between Gilmer and Route 22. They drive up and down the street or they sit at the entrance of the Fields of Long Grove subdivision. You can’t see them in summer because of the tall grass. Speed limit is 35 and they will get you if you are doing 40.
Officer sits in the driveway of the "New School". I mostly see them at later at night but I have seen them at all times. Speed limit was 45 and is now 35 during school hours. (Long Grove, Lake County)
