Mchenry, Illinois Speed Traps

The police usually sit on the west side of the parking lot at the mchenry comcast office. they park next to a comcast vehicle, in a parking space, trapping mostly westbound traffic.

There is a pump station on the south side of the road, across the street and a little west from the Comcast office. they reverse into the driveway of the pump station. they are usually there in the morning, but i have seen them there at all times.

Police hide between the old school house and a line of trees. They are back far enough that you can not see them around the bend.

Before the 35/40 Speed limit sign which is about 50 yards from IL. 120, there is no sign for 6 Miles. The speed limit before is 55. Car sits about 15-20 yards before sign which is not really a trap but it becomes one when you pass it most likely doing 55-60 MPH, slowing down to the correct speed. he/she won’t catch you untill you reach the next speed sign which is 55 again. Ticket WILL be issued. If your car has to be towed for whatever reason, good luck in finding the tow station before it closes at 4PM (and what time do you get off work?).
