Unmarked New Lenox police car sits on the shoulder at about 8:30 pm a short distance beyond interstate 80 overpass on westbound US 30 as it curves slightly to the right. Officer sits there in the dark with no lights on and enforces the 40 mph posted limit.
Illinois Highway Street near Schoolgate Road
Wide open road has 25 MPH limit. Cops sit in Bentley School lot and wait for unsuspecting motorists.
Cedar Road near Smith Road
Will county officers will usually sit on the left side of the road monitoring northbound traffic between smith and baker road between the hours of 4:30am and 7:30am.
Joliet Street near Just southwest of US 30 Lincoln Hwy.
Cops sit in subdivision under construction and their cars are out of the line of vision. They focus on far westbound traffic on Joliet Highway behind Target and Lowe’s. The limit is an ungodly 25 MPH. One feels as if he could shut off the engine, run his foot on the ground , and still get rung up. There is NO forgiveness there for anything over 28!

As you come out of a fairly open stretch of road,all of a sudden there is a school zone in front of you. The cops will be on you in no time if you are speeding at all. It’s a 25 MPH zone if there’s no school and 20 if school’s in. Watch ti cause they’ll get you.
