Park Ridge, Illinois Speed Traps
Greenwood Ave between Northwest Hwy and Oakton
Park Ridge Police Dept. stakes out about 50 feet into a residential side street just waiting for anyone like me that goes 5 or more over the 25 zone. I got a ticket at night for going 29mph.
Dee Road between Devon and Talcot
Squad Car sits on East side in School parking lot with Forest area on West side. Cars going north on Dee have just left a section of Dee posted at 45 miles and hours and it is hard to find the new posted limit of 35 as you go by the School.
Devon and Broadway
The officer sits hidden on Broadway waiting for cars west bound most mornings. The forest preserve is on the other side of the road and cars tend to speed up since there is only one light prior to entering Rosemont.
Cumberland at Talcott
The Park Ridge Police dept. have seen the movie "Blues Brothers" way too many times. They park the squad car in the Shell Parking lot (Just like in the movie) and go after speeders and people who push the yellow light. They got me for a ‘red light violation’ when I was turning right on a yellow.
Outskirts of town
The Park Ridge Police Dept brings in many DUI’s a week. At late night hours (12am-4am) they hang around the borders of the town watching for people driving home from bars or who have been out drinking. The Park Ridge Police Blotter backs this up. Alot of DUI’s around this time. Not alot going on in this town at night, so they are always looking for suspicous vehicals.
