River Forest, Illinois Speed Traps

I am surprised that this wasn’t on here already. For years the River Forest police have been making money off this trap. It is on Thatcher avenue and goes all the way from North avenue to Lake street. They park on all the side streets the whole way down. They do this all day long. The limit is 25 the whole way down and most go at least 40.

Thatcher between Division and North Avenue, there is a spot in the forest preserve on the West side of the street where RFPD hides in the bushes, waiting to clock your car. The posted speed is 25MPH, but locals drive about 35MPH on all stretches of Thatcher.
