Romeoville, Illinois Speed Traps

Looking for cars traveling West on 135th going towards Weber Rd, Romeoville PD sits in outer drive of recreational center (on the North side of the street) or school bus yard parking area, which is next to a school, so you will miss the car sitting there because so many cars are going in and out-alot of movement in general. Posted school zone limit is 25mph, but people tend to speed up once they pass the school. BE CAREFUL. I have seen people pulled over five and six days straight. They don’t waste anytime either. I have passed someone pulled over, gone to the store (fifteen mins. or less) came back through and there’s someone new pulled over. Pay attention to the limit, everyone around you will not slow down. FYI-Police also sit in subdivision entrance on the south side 135th but are brutal around the rec center.

In the morning the cop sit’s in three different location’s.The gas city on the corner to snatch people on N budler, or sitting in the medium to catch you on Weber either way. And now in the parking lot of the new warehouse they put up. And its not uncommon for them to be in two of these place’s

LOCATION: Rt. 53 at MATERIAL SERVICE exit, and entrance. Also about a half mile SOUTH of the exit, and entrance. Off of Route 53. Also little brown storage house at the light at Route 53, and BUTLER Road across from the ROMEOVILLE HIGH SCHOOL. The like to park on the southbound side taking radar from both sides in plain view. Mostly A.M. & P.M. rush hours. About a mile north of Rt. 53 & Joliet Road. At the Forest Preserve park that is on the northbound side.

Speed limit is 45 m.p.h., but you are just coming off of Interstate 55, and speed limit is 55 m.p.h..

Entire town is crawling with police and radar 24 hours a day , 7 days a week. They particularly like to hide in view of stop signs that arent heeded due to backups, and like to travel Weber and RT. 53 at high rates of speeds coming from the opposite direction and then pull a 180 and pursue for 2 miles overthe limit and up. Also roads are way too inadequate for traffic, daily huge backups, with 5 mile detours at speed limits that arent posted but every mile or so, and are usually 25 or 30 miles per hour, help them pursue their apparent favorite pastime of ticketing anything faster than an 80 year with a walker.
