State Route 2 near Broadway Avenue
As you round the corner after Broadway going eastbound on IL Rt. 2(one way) an officer sits in the alley just after the curve.
Palmyra Road near State Route 2
Officer sits on Palmyra Road facing US Route 2 around lunchtime. Vehicle is hidden. Blends into background, difficult to see coming into town. Uses laser. Be careful. There is a speed limit change 65 to 55. Clocks you passing through the switch and pulls you over with speed read from 65mph zone.
6th Avenue near 21st Street
This trap the police sit at the Stone colered house facing west. Most of the speeders are caught leaving Sterling heading north on 6th. People start speeding up around Greenridge heading out of town and with the new gray house on 6th it is hard to see the police. I live on Greenridge and can see the police from my kitchen window. This trap catches alot of people, be carefull
Lynn Boulevard
1000th block of Lynn Boulevard. The police hide in the subdivision. Where the speed limit drops from 45 to 35 the back to 45. They haunt that area and nail you for going too fast if your not paying attention that the speed limit just dropped 10.
Interstate 88 near Exit Number Morrison
The state police often sit on the on ramp behind a heavy growth of trees if traveling east on the interstate.
