Villa Park, Illinois Speed Traps
Yale Avenue near North Avenue
Just North of North ave. on Yale people have been known to roll through the stop signs. Police will wait just out of view by the taco place and on Wildfire on the west side of Yale. Also on Yale people have been known to speed down to the end of the road at Armitage so cops have been known to hide out at Target and North Park Mall waiting to hear tires squeal, or out of sight on Sidney or Belden.
Grace Street near North Avenue
On Grace Street between Fullerton & North Avenue. Squad cars like to park in the industrial lots. There is a church right before the CVS on the right side heading south before you get to North Ave. They are in that parking lot often! They are all over this street in the morning and night rush hour almost every day.
Roosevelt Road near State Route 83
If you are heading WEST on Roosevelt from Westchester IL, the miles per hour turn from 35 to 55 ( a mini highway) until you pass Route 83. The speed limit jumps down to 35 miles an hour. Usually the cop will sit by the car dealership on Villa AV (The first possible right)
Summit Avenue near Jackson Avenue
An unmarked car sits and waits for people to roll through the stop signs.
Ardmore Road near Willowbrook H.S
Squads will often sit in the Fire Department parking lot and have the ability to nab you when you are coming over the hill. I usually slow to 25 when going southbound on ardmore and going over the hill and seeing if my radar detector picks anything up before increasing speed again.
