Hwy 56 (Butterfield) & Winfield Road

Winfield, IllinoisMay 14, 20021 Comments

The wealthy town of Winfield employs a MARKED Crysler Concorde with all the bells and whistles (I’m not dreaming…had to blink a couple times to make sure I wasn’t). This cruiser has been seen working the intersection at Butterfield and Winfield Roads regularly. Likes to sit in Amoco station where he is blocked by the station’s sign, and watch for red light runners and speeders. Have seen numerous pull-overs south of Butterfield on Winfield. Usually works in tandem with an unmarked Impala or Crown Vic.

Posted limit is 50, however this is a four lane route with 3-4 miles between stop lights. Du Page county police hide on side streets and driveways.
